Jejemon is the word of the year!

Ang Official Tambayan ng Jejemons

What is a Jejemon?

Basically anyone with a low tolerance in correct punctuation, syntax and grammar. Jejemons are usually hated or hunted down by Jejebusters or thegrammar nazi to eradicate their grammatical ways.

Many of my young Scouts are practicing this "Jejemon" language and I find it very disturbing, honestly. But what is really behind this "trend" that it attracts young people? Let's find out and discover...

The King of All Knots: Bowline

Are you interested in holding ropes but have never or seldom used their complete advantage? Like, you would tie two or more ropes just for the sake of letting its ends twirl around your pole? Then if that is the case, this blog would be very helpful.
First, we must define a rope
A rope is a string of items attached in one line by or as if by twisting or braiding."
.
Now, what are the parts of a rope?

How about a knot?
A knot is a fastening made by tying together lengths of material, such as rope, in a prescribed way.

Brief History of Barangay Tinago

As of this moment, you may have discovered two local histories of some of the barangays here in Cebu City. Let me take a quote from a television show, would you agree if they say, "One is not enough, Two is too much, so let's make it one and a half?"

I say, let us make it, "not one, not two, but make it THREE."
Here comes the history of Barangay Tinago.

Brief History of Barangay T. Padilla

Let us continue in learning more about the history and culture of the recent venue of a fire accident which razed 220 - 250 houses and left 2,000 families homeless, but continues to rise up from its fall, Barangay T. Padilla...

Brief History of Barangay Tejero

Did you ever wonder why your local barangay was called such?
Or who were its first inhabitants? Are you interested in the rich knowledge of the history of your community? Then, this blog is the one for you.

Let us get to know the history of some of our local barangays around the jurisdiction of Tejero Elementary School and the Tejero Scouting Unit. As we take part in complying the requirements for the Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge.

Basic Training Course for Unit Leaders - A Scouter's first step...

Last July 30 - August 1, 2010, I have finally attended, together with my fellow Scouter-aspirants and elementary teachers of Area VI (provinces of Consolacion – Cordova – Borbon – Camotes Island - Cordova), a training course that I once long dreamed of, and it was held at Cordova Central School, Mactan Island, Cebu.

As a former Scout and currently a “struggling” Scouter of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines of Tejero Elementary School, it is every man’s dream to finally be recognized as official Scout Leaders of a Boy Scout Troop in your local elementary school.

This Basic Training Course for Kawan Leaders (KAB Scouts), Troop Leaders (Boy Scouts) and Outfit Advisors (Senior Scouts) is the first step for you to be called as “Scoutmasters” of your own school. At this moment, we can already handle our own Scout unit for, I believe, we are already equipped with the necessary knowledge in handling such.

The training course was actually very basic. We were taught with the fundamental concepts of understanding “the boy we serve,” which includes getting to know them, their wants and their needs. And for us to fully understand that, we should:
THINK YOUNG,
FEEL YOUNG,
and ACT YOUNG…

Here comes the Tamaraw!
Certificate of Participation

Youngest Delegate Award aka "the Diaper Award"
Patrol Leaders' Leadership Award

Anime AGAIN and AGAIN over!

I have always been a fan of Japanese anime just like everyone else. But at some time, I did not know where to view those videos (for free!), I entirely relied on what our local television has to offer and it hurts me the most when they could not provide a continuation of the series.

But gladly, the internet has provided us with a vast and diverse resources such as www.animecrazy.net! Enjoy the videos and be sure to check out on your favorite Anime characters!

PS: What anime do you look forward to? I, personally, tune over to the One Piece series.

My Scouting Life

I have always been a fan of Scouting. Ever since I was on my elementary years, I never missed any school activities even when I was still a KAB and Boy Scout.

Tejero Elementary School and the Tejero Scouting Unit, together with the High School Senior Scouts and (at that time) BSP Staffs, have showed me great inspiration in what Scouting really has to offer.

This is just the beginning!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new blog site...

I am Reneir Val T. Perez, currently a 3rd year BS Computer Science student at the Cebu Institute of Technology - University.

I decided to write my own blog due to a seminar that I had just attended this morning. It was entitled "Blog ta Bai! University na ta!" conducted by the Computer Students' Society and the College of Computer Studies. The seminar was really fantastic and my attendance on the seminar actually does pay off.

Anyhow, this is just the beginning, I will be posting most of my recent activities in school and community-related programs.

Thank you very much for your visit and enjoy!
